Can we just talk about this Walmart ad that keeps popping up in my Facebook feed. I was seriously confused and disturbed when I first saw it. I mean, WHY IS THERE A HOLE?!? I don’t shop Walmart all that often except in-store for groceries and pool supplies (we recently bought an above ground pool). I thought, okay, the Facebook ad stalkerazzi must know I shop online for a lot of baby stuff so they are targeting me for baby swimsuits. But why on earth would a baby swimsuit need a hole? That’s just not right. I finally decided to click through to figure it out because WHY, JUST WHY?! Well, turns out it was a hilarious ad fail.
HILARIOUS Walmart Ad Fail
It’s a dog diaper, LOL! The hole is for a tail. That is NOT clear enough in this ad! For the love of God write dog somewhere in the ad!! Major AD FAIL!
As a 10-year marketing manager, this is just ridiculously, hilariously, absurd! Someone at Walmart has to look at this and see it’s easily confused for baby clothes. Plus I do not have a dog, why am I seeing Dog clothes?! It never occurred to me it might be for an animal since that just isn’t relevant and we all know how crazy and creepily accurate Facebook ads get.
But really, we’re all glad inappropriately labeled dog clothes popped up in my feed because we got a great laugh out of it!
