I’m in a few mom groups on Facebook it’s a place for moms to ask questions, share tips, stories, and support. If you aren’t in one, do a Facebook search for “mom” and filter your results to groups. Lately, tons of mom’s have been posting about back to school supplies. I recently discovered the coupon section on Amazon (how did I not know about this until now?!) and realized you can get just about anything on sale on Amazon. The coupon section can be filtered down to coupons for school supplies (or coupons for baby items, groceries, toys, clothes, etc., etc. the list goes on and on!). This is a great way to get an awesome deal on school supplies since the coupons change all the time. We all know Amazon already has great pricing on most items so add in the coupons for school supplies, and add in the 5% cash back for using your Amazon Prime Card and you’re saving big!

Amazon also offers school supply bundles. I checked pricing and even with sale prices for some items at Target, the school supply bundles on Amazon were cheaper. This makes for easy and cheap school supplies for students or teachers since you get a lot of what you need in one click.
**Factual Tip: This would be a great gift for the teacher in your life! School supplies for teachers are like gold. They’re always running out and buying more so why not start the year with a little gift for those hard working teachers you know!
Honey Chrome Extension to Get School Supplies for Cheap
I have a nifty little chrome extension called “Honey” that helps you save money while shopping online. Honey partners with Amazon to help you determine if you’re getting a good deal and also searches for better prices from other sellers. Download the extension here and visit Amazon. You’ll notice some new icons on the Amazon website letting you know about recent price changed and if there is a better deal available. Sometimes if you don’t need Prime shipping you can find the same product available a few days later for several dollars cheaper! It’s also amazing for finding coupon codes on all the popular shopping sites (Target, Kohl’s, Old Navy, etc.) I use Honey whenever I shop online (so daily) and it finds a code almost every time. I checked the Honey website recently and discovered they are in the process of making a phone app so you can save anywhere you shop! So. Awesome. Honey will help you find your school supplies for cheap and anything else you might be shopping for!

Target’s online prices are OFTEN cheaper than in-store. This goes for all categories (especially nursing and baby items!). It’s so easy to buy generic or cheap when you have so many things to buy and possibly a lot of kids to buy for. For things like markers, colored pencils, crayons, backpacks, go for the quality brands that will last longer. Generic markers run dry quickly, cheap colored pencils and crayons break easily, and cheap backpacks often need to be replaced every year. Quality supplies can last you several years which will save you time and money in the end. Plus, if you use a coupon for school supplies you’re already saving on the good stuff anyway!
