It’s no secret that shopping for jeans can be tough. Finding the best affordable jeans is even harder. I’m not one to spend more than $40 on a pair of jeans, and even that’s pushing it. I prefer to get mine on sale for around $25 (but who doesn’t). Every now and then I might find a pair I HAVE to have and splurge, but that’s rare. The good thing about splurging a bit for a pair of jeans is they are a year-round staple that almost never go out of style. Sticking to classics and avoiding the crazy trends will be your best bet but even better is just buying the best affordable jeans for women. These are my top stores for good regular prices or great sales.

Best Women’s Jeans Under $50 Regular Price
My favorite stores for the best affordable jeans for women are Target and Old Navy. Target has always been my go-to and Old Navy is a new favorite. Their jeans are actually great quality and they come in several fits. The base price is also super affordable at $25-$40. You know Old Navy almost always has a sale going and you can sometimes snag Target jeans on clearance at the end of the season or when they’re bringing in a new brand or color making them even cheaper.
I find that Target jeans fit true to size and Old Navy jeans fit true to size or just slightly big. Stretchy jeans usually hold their size through the day better than jeans without stretch so jeans without stretch you can often size down in.
My Favorite New Brand for Affordable Jeans
Target’s new brand, Universal Thread, is probably my favorite denim (and tops, shoes, and accessories) of the moment. You have got to try these. They have some great classic styles and really cute on-trend looks as well. I recently did a try-on session (blog coming soon) and I fell in love with EVERY SINGLE PIECE. It’s so, so good. Sneek Peek below.

My Favorite Mid-Range Jeans for Women (That Are Always On Sale)
My favorite jeans that are a bit higher base price but go on sale regularly (or they offer full order discounts) are Abercrombie & Fitch and American Eagle. These are generally priced $50-$80 but you can often get them on sale for $25-$40. These usually have more detail in the style and wash than the cheaper brands listed above so it’s nice to mix things up with a couple pairs from A&F or AE. The best part about the jeans I’m wearing in the photos below, the BUTT CUPPAGE!!!! Amazing!! MUST TRY!!
**Factual Tip for shopping A&F jeans: If you sign up for their club you get a coupon code for $20 off a $50 purchase making the jeans a GREAT deal! I ordered a couple pairs on sale with the coupon and they wound up costing the same as jeans from Target or Old Navy. Now that’s a score!
{Wearing Medium Wash, 26R – they are tight but I read they stretch as you wear them. If you want them looser, size up.}

Best Places to Buy Affordable Women’s Jeans Online
The best part about shopping Target, Old Navy, American Eagle, and Abercrombie, in particular, is they offer free shipping (sometimes with a minimum purchase) and free in-store returns. I prefer to try on a variety of jeans and compare the fits, colors, and styles together. Shopping online and trying them on at home with the tops, shoes, and accessories I’ll be wearing is the best way for me to really test drive them. Plus, they have more styles, sizes, and colors online as well. What I hate, is having to pay to return something. Usually, that’s only the case if you have to mail the item back to an online-only retailer or if you don’t have a store location near you. So, if you’re unsure of size or style, make sure there’s a location near you that will take your return if needed.
**Factual tip to save on shipping: If you don’t want to hit a minimum for free shipping, a lot of stores will offer free in-store pickup. If they have the product at your local store already it will be ready within hours. If they don’t that the product in-store you’ll have to wait a few days to pick up your order. Or, just plan on adding a couple extra things to your bag to hit the minimum and return them if you don’t like it in person. Either way, shipping is free and you’re not out anything if you need to return.
