Unless otherwise stated in the description, all rings can be sized by your local jeweler, however simone fini vintage does not offer that service. Please note that with conversion rings from stick pins, if you plan on wearing just one, consider a half size down as the shank is so slim, about 1mm. However, if you would like to several of them, it is recommended you go a size up as you will be stacking onto a larger part of your finger. For all other items, the size is described to the best of my ability though sometimes millimeters are rounded up to the closest decimal.

The vintage patina on simone fini vintage has been left intact. It is an individual preference and you may choose to polish your piece to a high shine. Please view the photos as an integral part of the description. All gemstone settings have been cleaned, inspected and secured, reinforced or repaired as needed by a jeweler. Therefore, simone fini vintage is not responsible for any loose or missing gems or parts. Use care as vintage and antique jewelry can be delicate and may show signs of mild wear in keeping with their rich history. It's advised not to wear antique or vintage jewelry while bathing, exercising, engaging in household chores, swimming, gardening or sleeping. With proper care your piece can last generations. Care for Pearls:

Take particular care with vintage pearls and the seed pearls so beloved by the art nouveau and art deco movement, which are often originally applied to a piece with an adhesive and not mechanically set. The older pieces, particularly Victorian jewelry, often boast natural, not cultured pearls. Natural pearls command a significantly higher price than cultured pearls due to its rareness. Nearly all the pearl jewellery seen on today’s market is made out of cultured pearls, regardless of whether they’re freshwater, Akoya, Tahitian, or South Sea. The best way to get a natural pearl (which formed from debris on the ocean floor not from an insert in an oyster farm) is to purchase vintage. Thank you, NSF.

Emeralds:

Emeralds naturally contain a high percentage of naturally occurring inclusions. Some estimates state that 90% or more of genuine emeralds are fracture-filled. Because of is, it can be risky to clean authentic emeralds ultrasonically or with steam. Ultrasonic vibrations can weaken already-fractured stones, and hot steam can cause oil or unhardened resin to "sweat out" of fractures. Using warm, soapy water coupled with gentle scrubbing is the safest way to clean emeralds, and remove emeralds before any type of heavy work.

Pearls, opals, emeralds and other soft stones or stones with inclusions should never be cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner. For best results ask your jeweler to clean it. Thank you. -NSF

Opals:

Use caution handling opals. When purchasing opals, look closely for any crack, fissure or crazing. Opal is a soft stone, as must be handled carefully. Remove your opal jewellery if there is a chance it will be scratched or crack. Do not store it in low humidity where it may dry out and crack. Like pearls, contact to human skin is generally considered good for solid opals. Cracked opals, are rampant in the vintage industry (the opals appraise at $0). simone fini minutely checks opal purchases, and does not sell cracked opals. Once simone fini vintage delivers a piece in the condition described, buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the piece is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value, and simone fini may offer a partial or no refund. This includes cracked and chipped stones, bent part pieces, or missing parts. The ongoing care of a piece, becomes the buyer's responsibility as the owner. If you ship a return item to simone fini and damage occurs during the shipping process, the buyer is responsible for the costs. If the buyer would like to keep the damaged item, I will reship it out, buyer pays shipping. I recommend that you carefully bubble wrap the returned items inside the box. Thank you. NSF
